Hi there!
This is my 10th year teaching and I can't believe that I've been doing this for this amount of time already. I have taught kindergarten (what a CRAZY year), first grade for 2 years, and have spent the rest of my time teaching fourth grade! I LOVE the fourth grade curriculum and the age group. For the last 3 years or so I have focused my instruction on 4th grade math and science. I'm super excited this year to get to add Social Studies to that group as well. I love history and especially Florida history.
I have lived in Florida my whole life and am a true Florida girl. I love going to the beach, hanging with my friends and family, and reading.
On this blog I am going to post some opinions and thoughts about what teaching in Florida is like in this day and age. I am also going to post things I do in my classroom that worked well and things I would like input on from other teachers. :o) Please feel free to offer suggestions!
